The Milesian myths & the Scythian origin?

The truth is that no one aristocratic Scythian clan was the progenitors, of an entire society, or any Irish royal clan. All the Milesian myths accounts describe all the regions occupied by the Goths, and not a aristocratic Celtic tribe. The creators of the Milesian myths really took their time to create very imaginative myth using possibly the Historia de regibus Gothorum, Vandalorum et Suevorum by Isidore of Seville as a blue print. The inventors of the Milesian legends, and Irish genealogies added even religious events in the bible, the Goths, the Scythians, and a link to Spain etc. Now assuming that the Milesian legends have some sort, of facts to them then this must be that the Royal lines of Milesians are, of a Germanic origin, and not of a Celtic origin. This is disturbing for those who hold prejudices, hate, and racism, yet to accept the Milesians myth as truth then they must accept the facts that the Scythians were not Celts. You see in the simple mind of many the word Germanic and Scandinavian, equals politics and years of hatred. The facts are that the names in the Milesian legends, and myths cannot be accounted, for in any historical accounts. The myths state, that Milesian invasion of Ireland occurred the next year after the laying down of the foundation of the temple of Jerusalem by Solomon. This was written by religious priest trying to include religion into the genealogies of the clans.

For so many years there have been countless legends of the Milesians, and an aristocratic Scythian clan settling and conquering Ireland. The facts are that the accounts of the creation, of the Milesians legends coincide mainly with that of the Goths, yet the Goths were a heterogeneous East Germanic tribe, and not a Celtic one, the Goths are believed to have originated in Scandza. The so called experts of Irish myths do not explain that the Goths were first refered to as Scythians when they did reached the Black Sea, nor will you hear or read any explanations of the mentions of the Goths in the Irish myths of the Milesians. Ancient accounts explain that the Goths entered Scythia, under King Filimer, and there they defeated the Spali. King Filimer found the land which the called Aujum (Oium), from there he later lead another second migration to Thrace.

Myth: Fenius Farsa, as the first king of Scythia, and his descendants were called the Feni. Fenius Farsa's son Niul is said to be the first to have settled in Egypt.

History : A Royal line of King Filimer ,fought the Egyptian Pharaoh Sesotris , under the leadership of Gothic King Tanausis , and after the battle of Phasis, Colchis in modern day Georgia, pushed and persued the Egyptians all the way back into Egypt. Then there is the account of Gothic King Antyrus, who was approached by King Darius of the Persians, to marry his daughter. Then there is King Phillip II, who allied himself with the Goths by marrying Medopa, the daughter of King Gudila, the Getae king, and ruler of the regions between Thrace and the Danube.

Myths: King Sru leads the Gaeidhil from Egypt to Creta, and Eber Scot is believed to have led the wondering Gaeidhil, or Gayil from the island of Creta, modern day Crete, to Scythia.

History: The was a massive invasion of Scythian tribes into Crete during 267 A.D. and 269 A.D. these sea born invasions were led by the Goths mainly the Greuthungi and Tervingi , the Gepids and Peucini led by the Heruli, a East Germanic Tribe from Scandinavia. Another thing taken to account is that the Goths raided Athens in 268 A.D., and in 370 A.D. King Ermanarcih rules the Greuthungian Goths from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

Myth: Lamh Finn led the Clanna Gaedil from their homeland of Scythia to Gaethluighe.
Bratha, the leader of the Clanna Gaedhail, Gayil, or Gaels, leads immigration from Gothinia, a island in the Baltic, into Spain. His son Breoghan, later becomes the king of Spain.

History: In 456 A.D. the Visigoths of the Balthi family enter Spain, and in 475 A.D. King Euric founds the Visigothic kingdom of Spain.

Myth: Milesius after his first wife Seng, has the two sons Donn and Arech the Red Browed. Milesius sails to Egypt were he marries Scota , the daughter of the Egyptian Pharaoh Nectonebo II of Egypt, who ruled from 360 - 343 b.c. Milesius then sails from Egypt to the island of Irene, off the coast of Thracia, were Scota gives birth to Ir, the third son of Milesius.

History: The Pharaoh Nectonebo II of Egypt ruled in the years of 360 B.C. to 343 B.C.
Theodoric Strabo, son of Triarius, and Chieftain of the Thracian Goths, of the Amalings Royal family. He had a wife named Sigilda, and a son named Recitach. The Amalings according to the Gothic legends were the decendants of the ancient hero Amala “The Mighty".

Myth: The Milesians marched through the European continent and he reaches the Baltic Sea, where with a fleet he reaches the island of Gothinia, an island which divides the Baltic and Artic Sea. On Gothinia his fourth son Colpa of the Sword is born.

History: Only one island which divides the Baltic Sea and Artic sea, this being the island Gotland, Sweden.

Myth: King Breogah of Spain, and the Brigantes.

Fact: The Brigantes tribe (s) name are found in Austria, England, Spain , Portugal and Ireland.
Brigid or Brigantu means the “The Exalted one” or “The High One”, and ancient Goddess worshipped by the Celts. The Brigantes in England occupied the areas which are modernly known, as York, Cleveland, Durham and Lancansghire. Their civitates power strecthed from the North Sea to the Irish Sea. The Brigantes described by Ptlomey that occupied what is modern day southern Wexford , Ireland. The Campus Brigantium, meaning ' The plain of the Brigantes’, once occupied by the Clanna Breogian. We find the city of Bregenz located in modern day Austria on the shores of Lake Constance, the Brigantii tribes in the Eastern Alps, the Brigantes of Gallaecia, modern day Galicia, Spain, and Braganza a city located in the North Eastern region of Portugal.

Are all these Brigante tribes related to one another? Not very likely and this is possibly due to the name of the goddess Brigid being spread from region to region. They can be found to be related with archeology and the y-dna testing of ancient remains, or living y-dna tested members of these areas.

None of the Milesian legends can be taken seriously, yet there are those who still believe this, and others who still keep up the myths alive as facts. If people only took their time, and were a little more truthful with themselves then they would search, for the truth and facts and stop wasting their time and money. One thing I learned is that there are too many people out there with misleading information, creating their own special myths, and gaining money in return.

  1. There are many errors of synchronism in the popular retellings of the genealogical histories. One should consult the genealogies directly, and not the popular corruptions. The genealogies corroborate across too many countries & cultures & eras to have been invented as a religious hoax in one particular era.

By a more accurate chronology aligned to the genealogical materials, the Milesian conquest of Ireland would have been contemporary to Jeroboam & Rehoboam.
